 The Principal’s Desk
A new year begins at Hugo Schmidt Elementary School, home of the sailors. ~Once again we are honored with a state grade of an “A”. It takes all of us working together to achieve that status. Though we received an “A” there is always room for improvement.
Many traditions and celebrations have been put in place since the initial voyage in August 2003. ~It is my intent to “Continue the Voyage into Excellence and Integrity.” The school faculty and staff is made up of hard working, dedicated professionals. Not only do children come first at our school but every child is a significant part of the crew.
It is our responsibility as educators to make sure that each child is given the tools necessary to be successful learners as well as responsible citizens. As our teachers join together with parents, business partners and the community, we will work together as a team to ensure student success.
